The UFC superstar only goes out of the house if there’s a large sum of money attached. Speaking with Alex Gonzalez, ‘Bones’ touched upon the most bizarre injury that he incurred outside of competition. Surprisingly, it involved one of his dogs.
Jones did not divulge when the incident occurred as the UFC star can be seen with his attack dog on his socials. The UFC heavyweight champion is now staring into the last bits of his career, hoping to bow out soon. The 37-year-old fighter remains the successful fighter yet in the UFC, having defeated legendary fighters throughout his career.
Looking beyond his life as a fighter, Jones is ready to take a leap of faith into something new. Perhaps a switch to Hollywood is on the cards for ‘Bones.’ The fighter spoke about his abundance of admiration for actor Dwayne Johnson. Both men had their start in a similar background, using athleticism to entertain the masses. Now, Jones has identified acting as a potential venture once he retires from MMA.
UFC champion Jon Jones more likely to call it quits after 2025
More than a decade in the sport and dominating two weight classes, Jones has certainly nothing left to prove. Leading up to the UFC 309 PPV, he dropped several hints to walk away from the sport if the MMA giant can’t offer lucrative fights. Now, with the holiday season firmly taking over, Jones has taken up acting roles.
The pound for pound number 2 ranked fighter is hoping for a giant payday against Tom Aspinall. Both fighters are currently in the negotiation phase, and this fight is more likely seen as his final challenge. Jones has showcased intrigue in a super fight with Alex Pereira. Beyond these two outings, there are no likely contenders for him left.
UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen believes 2025 will produce the final outing of Jones. The American mixed martial artist originally intended to end his career by 35-years of age, but it didn’t materialize. Obvious hints of leaving fighting behind, and leaning towards acting as a career appears as a possibility. It seems quite certain, 2025 will mark the end of Jon Jones in the UFC.
