Jon Jones is undoubtedly one of the most captivating figures in UFC history. From an illustrious career filled with accolades to a series of controversies, ‘Bones’ has done it all. Yet, for the legendary fighter, few things have been as scary as his experience in jail as a teenager.

Jon Jones recently collaborated with YouTuber Alex G Was Here, where he drove a $5 million Bugatti Chiron. During the drive, Jones opened up about going to jail at the age of 19. Unexpectedly, he shared in detail about his scary encounter with an inmate.

He said to me, ‘If I knock you out, I’m going to drag your leg over to a wall, put it up against the wall, and stomp your knees out…I’ll never forget when he stomped the floor. I sat there with a straight face like I wasn’t scared, but deep down, I was terrified.

Since then, Jones has faced numerous legal troubles throughout his career, impacting his reputation. In 2012, he was arrested for DUI after crashing his Bentley, and in 2015, he fled the scene of a hit-and-run that injured a pregnant woman, resulting in a felony charge and the loss of his UFC title. He also violated probation in 2016 after being cited for drag racing, leading to a brief jail stint.

These incidents showcased a pattern of reckless behavior that overshadowed his octagon dominance. Despite expressing a desire to change, the fighter has failed to do so on multiple occasions. His run-ins with the law have raised questions about his ability to separate personal struggles from his professional legacy.

UFC GOAT Jon Jones’s future in UFC

Jon Jones is currently the biggest active star in the UFC and understands his own value. In his last fight, he defeated Stipe Miocic via TKO and defended his heavyweight belt for the first time. Now, fans are desperate to see him fight interim champion Tom Aspinall, but Jones isn’t a big fan of this matchup.

Jones has expressed that he doesn’t value the fight with Aspinall and prefers fighting Alex Pereira instead. This has led to various back-and-forths between both the fighters. UFC legend Kamaru Usman also touched upon this matter; however, he gave a different perspective on this.

This ain’t no beef to me. Jon ain’t stressed. If anything we are making it to where Jon is going to cash out. So, Jon is like, ’Yeah, y’all keep talking about, give me 20-30 millions.

This theory can be true as Aspinall has also agreed to it. YouTuber Jake Paul recently talked about Jones potentially asking close to $50 million for the fight. Given the anticipation, it would be interesting to see what happens in the future regarding the heavyweight title unification bout.
