It has been 20+ days since the 2024 presidential election concluded with Donald Trump and the Republican party secured victory. In doing so, Trump became 47th president of America and his opposition camp credits it to Dana White and the UFC. Kamala Harris‘ campaign leaders broke down how the MMA promotion impacted the Presidential election recently.

The quartet of Stephanie Cutter, Quentin Fulks, David Plouffe, and Jen O’Malley Dillon of Team Kamala Harris appeared on Pod Save America. Cutter added that Trump’s association with UFC really helped sell narrative of a strong figure. With UFC stars like Colby Covington, Bo Nickal, Henry Cejudo and more may have played a role in pushing Trump as a strong candidate.

It’s important to him (Trump) to portray himself as a strong masculine figure. So how does that show up for people? It shows up at UFC fights; it shows up with Dana White speaking at the convention. It shows up with the kind of podcasts he is doing.

Cutter largely placed the blame of their campaign’s defeat on Republicans establishing connection with young voters. UFC head Dana White’s unconditional support along with a laundry list of fighters may have helped sell the narrative as well. White, in his Instagram post, reached to the masses, dubbing Harris as an unfit leader after Joe Rogan decided against hosting her.

It was White’s idea that helped put together JRE’s biggest podcast featuring the President-elect. UFC Chief’s continuous push for Trump helped even change Rogan’s negative stance. The UFC icon even endorsed Trump after podcast appearance, which could have helped tilt the tide further. Regardless of the years of friendship, and continued bromance, White seems certain about not dipping his toe in politics.

Dana White rejects the idea of an administrative role in Donald Trump’s cabinet

When everybody closed the doors on MMA, it was Trump’s kindness that helped give it some breathing room. This brought the duo of the UFC chief and business tycoon closer. Ever since then, the UFC has enjoyed a close relationship with the President. Despite 20+ years of friendship and loyalty, White seems certain about not jumping into politics.

Speaking with Sports Business Journal, the UFC boss shut down the idea of becoming a cabinet member for the upcoming administration. The 55-year-old promoter dubbed the political landscape as gross and turned away from the idea. The UFC head feels quite comfortable in the fight business and wants to remain focused on his ventures.

I am in the fight business, which is the dirtiest, nastiest business. We all hate each other and we all fighting every day. There’s nothing dirtier than politics. It’s disgusting, it’s gross and I want nothing to do with.
