As a result, this inaugural live match on Netflix attracted significant viewership. Recently, Dana White, the UFC CEO, who had initially opposed the matchup, shared his thoughts on its success.

I think they (Netflix) are late to the game but it was a big successโ€ฆ I actually thought it was smart of them to doโ€ฆ They knew Mike Tyson was gonna bring in big numbers. Mike Tyson was gonna pull up big numbers and this was a good test for themโ€ฆ I was in a hotel room in New York and I didnโ€™t have a bad experienceโ€ฆ

The UFC CEO also expressed concerns about the first live boxing match on Netflix. As such, White highlighted the buffering issues many viewers encountered during the Paul vs. Tyson fight. Interestingly, the majority of spectators rooted for the boxing legend to defeat the rising star. However, the 27-year-old Jake Paul won the match against Tyson via unanimous decision, marking a historic victory for him.

Netflix boxing event update: Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Katie Taylor, and Amanda Serrano receive suspension

According to MMA Junkie, the suspension covers both sparring and boxing. This means that neither fighter is allowed to train in the gym by boxing with another fighter until at least December 9th. Itโ€™s worth noting that medical suspensions are quite common. In fact, the TLDR has also issued suspensions to other boxers on the seven-fight card on Netflix, including Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor.

Taylor and Serrano faced off in a high-stakes rematch, with the Irish boxer winning by decision. While Tyson and Paul received a 24-day suspension, Serrano and Taylor were suspended for 45 days. Additionally, the WBC welterweight title showdown between Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos also resulted in suspensions. As such, Barrios received a 36-day suspension and Ramos a 45-day suspension.
