Recently, Donald Trump won the 2024 US Elections to become the next President of the United States. Ahead of the elections, he received endorsements from several prominent figures in the country, including popular UFC commentator Joe Rogan. However, UFC legend Chael Sonnen has noted that the general public is attributing too much credit to Rogan for Trump’s victory.
Donald Trump has established a strong relationship with various members of the UFC community. Notably, individuals like Chael Sonnen and Colby Covington have been vocal supporters of Trump. Recently, Sonnen expressed his disappointment when Ariel Helwani credited Joe Rogan with significantly contributing to Trump’s election victory. This seemed to frustrate the UFC legend.
What did you mean earlier when you said (Donald) Trump should be grateful to Joe Rogan? What is that about? Do you suggest that Rogan did more to help Trump than I did?…. Where would you possibly get that cause he had him on one time?… I’m not taking away from what Joe (Rogan) did, I’m glad that Joe did, but to make believe that he did more than I did, that’s fictitious.

With only one day left until the already concluded US presidential elections, Rogan posted an endorsement for Trump on social media. Following this, many people believed that the UFC commentator’s endorsement had a significant influence on the election.
Even UFC CEO Dana White expressed his gratitude to Rogan for supporting Trump in his speech. However, Sonnen disagrees. As such, he has argued that a single social media post cannot have more impact than the extensive work Sonnen and other Trump supporters have done over the years.

Sonnen is a legend in the UFC community, known for his charismatic and outspoken personality. The former UFC fighter never shied away form voicing his opinions, even if it meant criticizing others. A few years ago, Sonnen publicly declared his superiority in the MMA community. As such, he believes in having a greater impact as the voice of the UFC than the well-known commentator Rogan.

Over the years, Rogan’s show has gained significant recognition from the public, contributing to his prominence as a UFC commentator. As a result, he is often regarded as one of the leading voices in MMA. However, Chael Sonnen disagrees with this view.

However, Sonnen believes that his own deep immersion in the world of MMA ultimately makes him better than Rogan.

Despite the intense animosity between Rogan and Sonnen in the past, they eventually reconciled. Currently, they hold no grudges against each other. This was evident when Sonnen even acknowledged Rogan’s recent meeting with Trump at UFC 309.
