Taking on retired MMA fighters in the squared circle has become a trend for Jake Paul. The Problem Child has thus far taken on 5 big names from the UFC world. It seems like the YouTuber-turned-boxer is not done with the promotion just yet. The 27-year-old has previously showcased interest in facing off against UFC champions and stars in a sparring match.
Knowing full well the nature of a UFC contract, Paul even offered to add some spice to it by making a lucrative offer. Unfortunately for him, nothing has gone his way so far as he continues to hunt for UFC stars like Sean Strickland, Paddy Pimbeltt, and even Alex Pereira. Paul even vowed to beat Poatan should they cross paths in the boxing ring. He revealed what actually transpired while trying to spar these big names out of the UFC.
Jake Paul seems quite confident in his ability as a striker and feels he can take on anyone. The young boxer even took shots at MMA fans, stating that the audience doesn’t comprehend his fighting skills against MMA fighters at all. He doubled down on MMA stars being overrated in the striking department, despite already beating up former UFC champions.
The YouTuber clearly feels there is a bigger conspiracy at work against him in the combat sports world. He went as far as to accuse UFC brass for blocking his offer, including Dana White, highlighting White’s insecurities as a big reason for his call outs landing on deaf ear. Meanwhile, Poatan offered a response on this matter, calling it a bluff, knowing full well how UFC contracts would not allow it.
Jake Paul attacks Dana White for disavowing UFC stars to box him
Paul has been entangled in a strange beef with Dana White for the past few years. The duo has been at each other’s throat for quite some time, and Paul even accused White of banning him from UFC events. The feud has gone so far that Paul had to sneak into UFC Noche under a strange disguise.
Paul has once again accused White of blocking him from facing UFC stars. In the same interview with Sean O’Malley, Paul revealed his thoughts about the UFC CEO and why he is unable to fight UFC stars even in training. He feels White and his team are in a lose-lose situation and simply don’t want to risk it.
Paul is just a few days away from stepping into the ring with boxing royalty, Mike Tyson. The bout is set to be broadcast on Netflix on November 15th and is proving to be a giant spectacle. Not looking beyond a formidable fighter like Tyson, Paul still feels he can rope in Canelo Álvarez after his next fight. Keeping his dream of becoming a world champion alive, Paul is making his intentions quite clear before the world.
