If โWatch it while itโs hotโ was a personification, itโd surely have to be Jon Jones. Jones is on a long layoff but is set to return in the UFC 309 pay-per-view (PPV) main event. However, the UFC heavyweight champ has agreed to anger management sessions before his seeming swan song billing this November. It stems from his recent misdemeanor charge bench trial. Consequently, fight fans are here for it!
Jonesโ trial took place on Tuesday in Bernalillo County Court in Albuquerque, N.M. The defense and prosecution agreed to dismiss the charges against him in exchange for four hours of court-mandated anger management. With his prime altercations with Daniel Cormier, with arresting officers during his domestic abuse arrest, and so on, fans are hoping this would be prime tele! Something theyโd pay good money for.
โBonesโ is never not a notoriety of controversy. From a guy with more DUIs than fight appearances to one who hid under the apron of the octagon to avoid drug testing. Jones would give comedic cinematography a run for their money if his antics were ever under film.
The current charges arise out of an alleged March 30 confrontation with two UFC anti-doping agents with Drug-Free Sports International at Jonesโ home in Albuquerque. Crystal Martinez claims he threatened to kill them for showing up unannounced.

Better watch out Sean Strickland, thereโs some heavy competition. At this rate, the brand champ is priming to be an unhinged real-life GTA character. The prospect of the ever-violent Jones going to anger management has naturally gone quite viral.
Fans react to implications of tele-like content of Jon Jones in anger management
A trial was due to begin before a New Mexico judge on Tuesday. But a prosecutor and Jonesโ lawyer, Christopher Dodd, announced in the virtual trial that a deal was struck. Jon Jones is thus clear for his UFC 309 pay-per-view (PPV) billing this November. He makes a first defense of his heavyweight strap against Stipe Miocic.
When the allegations first emerged earlier this year, Jones pleaded not guilty in July. He called them baseless. He posted on social media that he called one of the testersโ unprofessionalism and admitted swearing. But thatโs where it ended.
The charges of assault, a petty misdemeanor, and interfering with communications will be dismissed after the bench trial. That is if Jones completes anger management classes and obeys all laws for 90 days. Here are some reactions to it:
I’d pay $79.99 to watch it as a PPV https://t.co/nj8rwZJ4eQ

Anger Management for Jon Jones, is like hiding beer from a drunk in a clear plastic bag.

You put Jon Jones in any class, I guarantee you he walks out that room pic.twitter.com/UAexs9DQI4

Some have agreed that the fighter needs this. Others have quipped that telling Jon Jones he has anger issues is like teasing a drunk with a beer in transparent plastic. However, with how much UFC media have bloated his worth, this would prove an interesting notion.
