The upcoming Presidential elections in the United States are drawing closer. As such, many prominent individuals in the country have been expressing support for either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris. Recently, UFC superstar Justin Gaethje and Khabib Nurmagomedovโ€™s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, also seemed to be participating in these discussions.

The former president of the United States is no stranger to the UFC community. As such, he often graces the UFC events and heaps praise on several fighters. In return, Donald Trump also gets a similar response from the UFC fraternity. Recently, UFC lightweight fighters Justin Gaethje and Beneil Dariush, along with Ali Abdelaziz and Henry Cejudo, pledged their support for Trump.

They all posted a collaborative message on Instagram to express their strong endorsement of the ex-POTUS. This was the second time Henry Cejudo publicly voiced his support for Donald Trump. Several fighters supported Trump because they believed he represented true American values. Donald Trump often publicly shared his opinions on matters he believed would benefit the countryโ€™s citizens.

The support for Trump within the MMA community notably increased following a recent assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. As a result, many influential figures and fighters lauded the former Presidentโ€™s unwavering determination to withstand his adversaries. Nevertheless, itโ€™s important to note that not everyone in the UFC community views Trump favorably.

When a former UFC champion berated Donald Trump

A significant credit for the relationship between Donald Trump and UFC fighters goes to UFC CEO Dana White. Over the years, these two have shared a strong bond. Trump supported the promotion in its early days, ultimately making it possible for several up-and-coming fighters to make a name for themselves. While many are thankful for Trumpโ€™s help, former UFC champion Francis Ngannou doesnโ€™t like him.

Francis Ngannou hails from a humble background and has faced numerous challenges throughout his life. Consequently, he took offense when someone criticized individuals from similar backgrounds, such as Trump. A few years ago, the ex-UFC heavyweight champion publicly criticized the former President for this, stating that Trump didnโ€™t seem to value impoverished Americans.

This guy [Donald Trump] is the shame of America. America is a country [built out of] immigration. America is the country that poor people in countries looking for, they donโ€™t expect America to give them something, but just to look at them like an example to get a better situation. This country has been doing great with last president, like Barack Obama, people like Martin Luther King, people who had to work for that. Today we have people like Donald trump who come out and bring all that down. So itโ€™s a shame.
