Over the years, the fighting community has seen many intense rivalries. Recently, former UFC fighters Brendan Schaub and Nate Diaz appeared to reignite their feud when Diaz made a joke at Schaub’s expense. Schaub refused to let the comment slide and retaliated against Diaz for insulting him without any clear reason.

Nate Diaz recently posted a tweet to mock Brendan Schaub for his emotional response regarding Shane Carwin. The ‘Stockton Slugger’ seemingly berated the former UFC heavyweight fighter. However, the younger Diaz’s remarks did not sit well with Schaub, who issued him a stern warning. In response to Diaz’s comment, the former UFC heavyweight fighter shared his thoughts on X.

Oooh buddy. I prob got 20lbs on you so not too far off. I’ll snap your neck. Set up a grappling match and let me know how it goes for you. Have one of you handlers read this tweet and get back to me.

At 39 years old, Nate Diaz has often found himself drawn to the thrill of combat. However, he may have taken on a challenge that exceeds his limits this time. Brendan Schaub, a naturally formidable heavyweight, carries an extra 20 pounds over his opponent. Diaz previously fought in the UFC as a lightweight and welterweight.

Reflecting on Schaub’s MMA career, he decided to step away from the sport in 2015. This comes after a crushing TKO defeat at the hands of Travis Browne. Following that, he has explored other fields. As such, Schaub is currently the host of The Fighter and the Kid podcast and co-host of several other podcasts.

For several years, Brendan Schaub has faced ongoing hate comments online from fans and fellow fighters. This backlash stems from the former UFC fighter’s habit of making controversial remarks on various topics. However, the reasoning behind the Stockton slugger’s comments remains unclear. This isn’t the first time Schaub and Diaz have criticized each other.

The altercation occurred backstage at the Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather fight in 2017. Several months later, Schaub reflected on the incident during a podcast episode with Joe Rogan. In that episode, the former UFC heavyweight fighter emphasized that he believed he was not at fault and expressed confusion about Diaz’s unusual reaction.

Showtime wanted me to go do this post-fight show thing so I’m going and I see Nate Diaz and he’s by himself on his phone. I see him and I think, same fraternity, UFC guys. I just figured, we’re brothers in arms here. So I see him and I’m like, ‘Yo Nate, bro, how about that fight, man? You’re next. Biggest fight in UFC history brother.’ And he starts laughing….
