In a recent court hearing, Jani Master, a renowned choreographer, faced a significant setback. The Rangareddy district court, as reported by M9 News, ultimately rejected his bail petition after a series of delays. This decision was handed down on Monday, October 14th.

Adding to the complexity of the situation, Jani Master’s nephew, Shameer, took a bold step by filing a case against the female accuser who had accused the choreographer of sexual assault. Shockingly, Shameer claimed that he had been subjected to physical harassment by the same woman during filming sessions in Mumbai and Hyderabad. The M9 report further reveals that Shameer, being a minor at the time, urged law enforcement to pursue the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Previously, Jani Master had been granted conditional bail to attend the prestigious National Award ceremony in New Delhi. However, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s National Film Awards Cell made a striking announcement. They disclosed that Jani Master’s coveted National Award for his outstanding choreography in "Megham Karukkatha" from the film "Thiruchitrambalam" had been suspended in light of the grave allegations against him.

A statement released by the Ministry of I&B emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, "In view of the seriousness of the allegation and the matter being sub judice, the Competent Authority has decided to suspend the National Film Award of the Best Choreography for the Year 2022 to Shri Shaik Jani Basha for the film Thiruchitrambalam until further orders."

In response to these developments, the Narsingi police of Cyberabad took action by filing a petition to revoke Jani Master’s temporary release.
