In a recent interview for Interview magazine, Kim Kardashian asked her 11-year-old daughter, North West, about her thoughts on her cooking skills. To everyone’s shock, North didn’t hesitate to say, “You haven’t cooked for us in a long time,” putting her reality star mom on the spot.
Adding to the revelation, North disclosed that the last time Kim prepared a meal for the kids was “two Halloweens ago.” For those unfamiliar, North West is the daughter of Kim Kardashian and her former husband, Kanye West, now known as Ye.
Recalling the Halloween meal from two years ago, North mentioned that her mom made mac and cheese. Kim, who is also the founder of Skims, jokingly added that she also made fried chicken and cornbread, quipping, “I’m a one-trick pony. Is that one meal good?”
While North admitted that the meal was “good,” she also praised her mom for making delicious cucumbers with salt. In a heartwarming moment, North shared that cucumbers with salt, along with onions, are the one food she could eat for the rest of her life, a sentiment Kim confirmed by mentioning North’s love for grilled onions.
In addition to North, Kim Kardashian is also a mother to daughter Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm, whom she shares with Ye (formerly Kanye West). In a throwback to 2023, Chicago, Kim’s younger child, called out her mom for having private chefs and not cooking for the kids in an Instagram post showcasing one of Chicago’s school assignments.
In the assignment, Chicago candidly wrote, “The best thing she cooks is ____,” filling in the blank with, “Mom doesn’t cook. She has a chef.” Kim Kardashian has long relied on her private chef, Khristianne Uy, also known as Chef K, to handle the family’s culinary needs.
