This is because of his good friendship with the promotion’s CEO, Dana White. Recently, the ex-POTUS chimed in for another discussion about UFC, where he was stunned to learn about the death counts in the promotion.
Most recently, Donald Trump was on the FULL SEND PODCAST, where the former POTUS discussed several intriguing topics. Trump mentioned how Dana White struggled to find an arena for the fights in the promotion’s initial days due to the sport’s dangerous nature. Moreover, Trump also expressed his surprise at the fact that there have been no deaths in UFC so far.
Interestingly, they’ve never lost anyone in terms of death… Nobody died in UFC which is shocking…

Donald Trump also drew a comparison between MMA and Boxing and mentioned that the latter has more cases of death. Per Trump, the primary reason for this is the majority focus on head strikes in boxing. Meanwhile, in MMA, fighters can target the entire body. Interestingly, UFC CEO Dana White also weighed in on this topic about specific safety measures to prevent such cases.

Speaking of the connection between Trump and White, the ex-POTUS and the UFC CEO have had a longstanding friendship. In addition to their personal relationship, both individuals have publicly supported each other numerous times.
Notably, Dana White even had the honor of introducing the ex-POTUS at the 2024 Republican National Convention. However, amidst their strong bond, there is an intriguing divergence in their viewpoints on a certain matter about the UFC.

Over the years, the UFC community has seen many promising fighters rise to global fame after joining the promotion. Two notable names are former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and current heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Interestingly, Dana White believes that the heavyweight champion is the best UFC fighter in history. Recently, even Donald Trump has shared his thoughts on this.
In the same podcast episode, the former President of the United States reiterated his support for his favorite fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Interestingly, Trump went as far as to declare the Dagestani fighter as the greatest UFC fighter in history as well.
