WWE announced that the Scottish Warrior will be the brand ambassador for the Special Olympics World Games 2023. They further announced that he will attend the world’s largest sports event in Berlin, consisting of athletes with intellectual disabilities. This year, the event will commence on June 17 and end on June 25. Moreover, it will be hosted in Germany for the first time ever.
Special Olympics CEO Mary Davis highlighted the significance of WWE and its role in the inclusive moment. She mentioned their partnership and shared a vision of molding society into a more inclusive one with the help of WWE. Therefore, Davis welcomed the former WWE Champion to the World Games in Berlin. The Scottish Warrior joined hands with the Special Olympics as the brand ambassador during his massive popularity in 2021.
Drew McIntyre responded to his warm welcome to the event and expressed his gratitude. McIntyre said that he is proud of his role as the Special Games’ global ambassador. The WWE superstar also highlighted how the athletes inspire everyone at WWE with their positivity toward their sport.
