After a 7 year long run with Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe finally parted ways with Fox Sports to quit on the show. Sharpe’s departure was scheduled for the last day of the NBA season and with the NBA Champions recently crowned, Uncle Sharpe delivered an emotional speech for his last appearance on the Undisputed show.
Shannon Sharpe thanked Fox Sports and everyone involved on the show and then finally thanked Skip Bayless with a heartfelt speech: “Skip Bayless, you fought for me. I’m here because of you. You’ve allowed me to share the stage with you. You allow me to share the platform,” Sharpe said. “The opportunity that you gave me, to become what I became, I’m forever indebted to you. I’ll never forget what you did for me. You’ve helped me grow more than you ever know.”
The NFL tight end legend has been hosting the Undisputed show with Skip Bayless since September 2016, quickly becoming a fan favourite during his short tenure with the show.
His departure came after a dispute between him and Skip following Bayless’s myopic Tweet about Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest back in January 2023.

What is NEXT for Uncle Shannon Sharpe?
Shannon Sharpe announced his departure from Undisputed after he reached a contract buyout with Fox Sports, a report that was in the coming as tension between the two hosts were growing more intense after several incidents on the show.
Sharpe hasn’t revealed where he would be headed yet and many speculations have spun around on where he would end up on. The first and most likely job for him is to team up with Stephen A. Smith on FirstTake, the show’s host Stephen A. have been without a co-host since Max Kellerman left the show and the two have the potential to be the perfect fit on the show.
