The South film industry was rocked by controversy recently when Telangana minister Konda Surekha made hurtful remarks about the separation of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The news spread like wildfire on social media, leading to Nagarjuna taking legal action against Konda Surekha, accusing her of damaging his family’s good name. The latest twist in this drama unfolded when the court hearing, initially set for Monday (October 7, 2024), got pushed back by a day.

According to a report from News18, the legal battle between Konda Surekha and Nagarjuna will now take place on Tuesday (October 8, 2024), with the Naa Saami Ranga star being called to appear in court to give his statement. Nagarjuna wasted no time in filing a complaint against Konda Surekha on October 3, citing criminal defamation among the charges, which could result in a lengthy legal process and potential financial compensation. Naga Chaitanya himself confirmed this through a heartfelt post on social media.

The whole saga began when Konda Surekha wrongly accused KT Rama Rao of being involved in the split between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The minister alleged that KTR had pressured Samantha to spare Nagarjuna’s N-Convention Centre from demolition, leading to the breakdown of their marriage. Samantha vehemently denied these claims, prompting an apology from Konda Surekha, who clarified that she never intended to harm Samantha in any way.

In a recent interview, Nagarjuna revealed his plans to file another defamation case worth Rs 100 crore against the Telangana minister. When asked if an apology from Konda Surekha would make him drop the lawsuit, Nagarjuna stood firm and refused any reconciliation. He criticized Konda Surekha for unfairly targeting the entertainment industry, declaring, “We won’t stand for this anymore. We won’t be easy prey.” His strong stance was echoed by other top actors like Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi Jr NTR, Nani, and Allu Arjun, who also voiced their support on social media platforms.

In the midst of this turmoil, the South film industry stands united against injustice, showing that they will not tolerate baseless attacks on their integrity and reputation.
