Not only that, he was even racially abused by that individual. Although Izzy didn’t do anything about it immediately, hours later, his statement resurfaced. Adesanya was soundly defeated by Sean Strickland at UFC 293 and lost his middleweight crown. Recently, he fought his African compatriot Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305. Despite being considered superior due to his technical prowess, he failed to meet expectations. Following that defeat, he initially considered taking a break but later changed his mind.

Even though I don’t have the belt, they still got my name in their mouth. At the moment, I want to fight one more time before the end of this year or early next year but I don’t now yet…

Adesanya is confident that UFC CEO Dana White will reach out to him soon for a fight. Because of this, Izzy is back to his training schedule and working hard to become his best self again. That being said, now it remains to be seen when the UFC CEO decides to book Adesanya for a fight again. It is rumored that UFC will return to Australia in February. As such, Adesanya could fight on the card if things go to plan.
