The scandal erupted when Williamson announced on Instagram that he and Akheema were expecting a baby. Soon after, Mills posted a series of tweets and Instagram stories, calling him a “cheater” and a “liar”. She also shared screenshots of their alleged conversations and photos of them together.
Williamson has not commented on Mills’ allegations, but his stepfather Lee Anderson decided to speak on his behalf during a charity event for his son’s foundation. He said, “Believe half of what you see and nothing you hear. That’s all I’m gonna say. I stand by my son 100%.”
However, his statement did not impress Stephen A. Smith, who criticized him on his show. Smith said that Anderson was making the situation worse by bringing attention to it and questioned his motives for speaking out.
“Why would you feel the need to address those folks like that? Is that Zion sir, or is that about you? He’s a superstar athlete. He’s rich and famous. And oh, my God, he was getting loose. He was having s*x. Oh, my God. Really? That’s why you would feel the need to show up at his foundation and give a speech to the media. Nobody asked you to give,” Smith said.
Smith also said that Anderson should focus more on helping Williamson recover from the hamstring injury that has sidelined him for most of the season. He said, “The only thing your son should be bothered about is that he can’t seem to get himself healthy to play.”

Yami Taylor, who describes herself as a model and influencer, posted a photo of herself lying on a bed with a man who appears to be Williamson on her Instagram stories.
She captioned the photo, “And be laying around sleeping comfortably knowing you have b*****s pregnant ehhh disgusted.” She also tagged Williamson’s official account and added a vomiting emoji.
The 22-year-old is one of the most talented and popular players in the NBA, averaging 26 points, seven rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game this season. He was also selected as an All-Star for the second time in his career.

However, he has also struggled with injuries and weight issues since entering the league as the first overall pick in 2019. He missed most of his rookie season due to knee surgery and has not played since March 4 due to a hamstring strain.
Williamson has not given any update on his return date or his baby’s due date. He has also not commented on any of the allegations made by Mills or Taylor.
