Paddy The Baddy Breaks Chicken Wing Record At His Favorite Restaurant

Besides being an absolute beast inside the UFC octagon, Paddy Pimblett is an eating machine outside of it. The top lightweight prospect is infamous for gaining massive weight after his fights. While Pimblett enjoys his downtown away from the octagon, he has now started ballooning himself to the fullest. This time, some chicken wings were the victims of Paddy Pimblettโ€™s desire.

Pimblett and his family visited Furusato Bar & Grill in Liverpool, United Kingdom. During their dinner, Pimblett hoped to shatter the restaurant record of 36 chicken wings munched in one sitting. If anyone in the UFC can do it from lower weight classes, it is indeed the British rising star. Surprisingly, โ€˜The Baddyโ€™ not only smashed the record but ended up eating a whopping 47 chicken wings.ย

After going past the local record with flying colors, Pimblett then sat down to eat the dessert. He last fought at UFC 304, where he defeated King Green via submission in the very first round. Nearly two months later, Paddy Pimblett has already gained a considerable amount of weight, most of it thanks to chicken wings.ย

Every time a fight comes, Pimblett has to go through a huge weight cut, raising criticism from fight fans. However, the British fighter has never missed the weight and always looked shredded to the bone during fight week. It feels like a โ€˜donโ€™t fix whatโ€™s already workingโ€™ situation. The Scouser has immense potential and is eager to take that hype to another level.

Something similar was also said by the lightweight champion Islam Makhachev when he was asked about Pimblett. The pound-for-pound king mentioned that he was willing to fight the British in the future.

A few more wins could set up the dream matchup. After watching it, Pimblett responded by issuing a challenge to the Dagestani champion.ย

Do you see that where Islam was talking about me the other day? He said, ‘He’s an exciting fighter’ and that. ‘If he keeps winning, you never know, he could fight for the belt’ and that. You know, Islam. We’re coming. We’re coming, brother, we’re coming.

Pimblett is currently #15 in the lightweight division and has the credentials to call out top fighters. It wonโ€™t be surprising to see the fighter locking horns with someone from the top five in his next few fights. If things go accordingly, a fight between him and Makhachev would be a rather interesting showdown.ย
