Dana White‘s $20 million dream project, UFC 306, featured Merab Dvalishvili defeating Sean O’Malley for the bantamweight championship. Dvalishvili dominated the bout from start to end, delivering a complete performance against his opponent. The Georgian was overjoyed and satisfied with his victory and celebrated with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
Jon Jones made sure to be part of the biggest night of the UFC calendar at the iconic Sphere. The MMA GOAT had a great time and had his upcoming fight announced during the event. Jones was in a cheerful mood and danced with Alex Pereira and MMA content creator Nina Drama. He was then found partying with Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling holding the bantamweight belt.
Additionally, Jones made a video with popular boxer Ryan Garcia and posed with singer Chris Brown. This caught the attention of many fans who assumed a lot could have gone bad given his history. As expected Dana White was also concerned about Jones and joked about Hunter Campbell babysitting the fighter.
In the video with Merab Dvalishvili, Jones hyped up the newly crowned champion by chanting his name. As a big fan of Jones, ‘The Machine’ also appreciated it. The champion was overwhelmed by the win and had a great night enjoying his victory. However, as it turns out Dvalishvili isn’t that careless like Jon Jones.
Merab Dvalishvili doesn’t drink alcohol confirms Aljamain Sterling
Going into the main event of UFC 306 very few had expected a one-sided dominance by Merab Dvalishvili. The fighter took down Sean O’Malley on his will and kept him there with ease. O’Malley’s takedown defense was non-existent and Dvalishvili made sure to exploit it.
Dvalishvili broke into tears after he was announced the winner and talked about the hard work he put into it. As his close friend and training partner, Aljamain Sterling was also stoked about Dvalishvili’s win. Aljo was pretty active on X and mentioned that even during celebrations, Dvalishvili doesn’t drink alcohol.

There’s no need for alcohol if spirits are high. Dvalishvili and co-main event title winner Valentina Shevchenko had a fantastic dance-off backstage following the victory. Dvalishvili’s triumph was historic for a Georgian, and more than 10,000 supporters flocked to the streets to celebrate.
