Now, different players from different sports are recognizing his greatness and congratulating him for his success. However, former NFL QB Robert Griffin III went one step ahead and declared Djokovic ‘the greatest player of all time’.

“Novak Djokovic is the Greatest Male Tennis Player of All-Time,” Robert Griffin III stated. “The debate is OVER.” Griffin believes the GOAT debate is over following Djokovic’s 23rd Grand Slam triumph.

Although his comments weren’t a long shot, as Djokovic is still in the GOAT conversation, declaring it openly got him all the unwanted attention. Still, the former Washington Commanders QB stuck true to his words and hasn’t deleted the tweet since then.

Interestingly, many in the comments were divided on who the Tennis GOAT is and Roger Federer‘s name popped up quite a few times. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer created that ultimate tennis trio that will be talked about for many years after their retirement.

Robert Griffin III wasn’t the only former NFL player supporting Novak Djokovic on his quest to greatness. Legendary QB Tom Brady was also spotted for the French Open finale and was seated in Djokovic’s booth.

Brady was there to support the tennis star, who was chasing the ultimate glory for the French Open 2023 finale. The former New England Patriots QB is well-versed in the pressure of finals and has won several of them in his tenure.

Similar to Djokovic, Tom Brady holds the record for the most Super Bowl victories, with seven Lombardi trophies to his name. Therefore, it was pretty obvious to see greatness recognize greatness.
