The Smesh brothers, Khamzat Chimaev and Darren Till are back, and they’re funnier than ever. The well-known pair have continued their long-lasting connection that began a few years ago. But as it happens, Till’s influence caused a few setbacks for the ‘Borz’.
Khamzat Chimaev recently joined Darren Till’s X Space with many other MMA community members. As expected both fighters indulged in a hilarious banter which has since gone viral on the internet. During the conversation, Chimaev accused Till of ruining his eating habits. Chimaev believed living with Till and eating chocolates led to him missing weight at UFC 279.

Khamzat Chimaev via Darren Till’s X Space
When Till clapped back, he seemed to be making fun of the middleweight, saying that Chimaev’s habits were worse than his own. Till kept up the teasing, asking Chimaev to defeat Robert Whittaker and go on to win the title. Chimaev accepted the plan and called Dricus Du Plessis an ‘African Gay,’ thereby roasting the champion.
Chimaev is presently slated to face Whittaker at UFC 308. The bout was originally canceled owing to Chimaev’s injury, but it has returned due to popular demand. For Chimaev, this is an excellent opportunity to defeat a top-ranked fighter and move closer to title contention. By doing so, he would keep his promise to Till and become a UFC champion.
However, the middleweight division is extremely competitive at the moment. Sean Strickland is likely next up against Du Plessis. Unfortunately, Du Plessis believes Whittaker is more deserving of a title shot. Therefore, he assumes the Kiwi will defeat ‘Borz’ in their fight if it does go forward without any hitches.
The bromance between Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev
The connection between Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev started when they trained together at the Allstars Training Centre in Sweden. Their frequent and amusing social media updates and videos demonstrated their hilarious relationship and admiration for one another. They are likable to fans and show the lighter side of athletes’ lives outside the octagon.
The stark difference between their cultural backgrounds mixed with their sense of humor was unique. While talking about their relationship, Till mentioned that he identifies with Chimaev and his objectives.
I just kinda identify so much of myself in Khamzat Chimaev. The way he walks around, the way he says openly,’ ‘I’m here to make money and smash every guy’…You need to be around that sh** because it’s infectious, especially to a guy like me, who believes that as well.

The relationship between Till and Chimaev reminded fans of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Daniel Cormier. Chimaev, during a conversation with DC, mentioned the same and compared both situations. While the Nurmagomedov and DC duo has gathered legendary status, Till and Chimaev do have the potential for that.
