Sweden’s Moein Ahmadi knows a thing or two about putting on a show. Consequently, he takes his cue from maverick Donald Trump. Coming into his main event opportunity at FCR 21 at Strawberry Fields in Stockholm, his walkout was just something out of the park. It was a straight-edge recreation of Trump’s failed assassination attempt, and it left quite the mark…literally!
Instead of the usual camp and cornermen, a security entourage ushered his entrance. Moein Ahmadi entered the foray at FCR 21 dressed in a blue Trump-esque blazer and a red MAGA cap. Soon enough, shots rang out and the security personnel, dressed like secret service members — mushroomed over him in guard. When the fighter arose, his right ear was in bandages under the MAGA cap. Ahmadi even shot his hand up in the air valiantly.
Celebrating Donald Trump-esque poses is no new thing. But this was a ten-on-ten effort. The regional fighter was making his walk at FCR 21 in Sweden, on the back of a two-fight winning streak. His opponent, Theodor Berggren, was a 24-year-old prospect on a winning streak of his own. But the fight itself was no match for Ahmadi’s walkout. This was all based on the failed assassination attempt on the GOP presidential nominee in his signature Republican campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.
But all the theatrics didn’t seem to translate into winning. Pinning his opponent against the fence, landing huge punches, and crumpling him, took Bergren 90 seconds. However, more than him dispatching the rival, the walkout has gone quite viral.

Thematic walkouts are never not interesting. Look into former UFC 185-pound kingpin Israel Adesanya’s archives for example. From anime-esque dances to mimicking gunfire; he did it all. UFC’s newest roster addition, Michael ‘Venom’ Page, a Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix Semifinalist flame, is known for his quirky character. His walking out to The Undertaker’s theme with an urn and hat in the Miami pay-per-view in March went quite viral.
Fight fans had plenty of reactions to the viral moment. Some retorted that even the most pro-Trump fans might find this pointlessly odd. A few have even billed it as debasing.
