Welterweight contender Sean Brady has shown his extraordinary capabilities following his recent victory. The 31-year-old suggested two intriguing potential matchups for him at the post-fight press conference. As such, he has even set his eyes on his next opponents, Colby Covington and Ian Machado Garry. Not only did Brady call them out, but he also mentioned them as inferior fighters.

The 31-year-old American fighter is currently on a two-fight win streak following his recent victory against Gilbert Burns. Sean Brady defeated the Brazilian star by unanimous decision, in which he outclassed his opponent in all areas. Following that victory, the next ideal step for a victor is to call out his next opponent, and Brady did the same.

I think Ian (Garry) thinks that he is God’s gift to earth and he’s not. I feel like everyone in the sport feels the same way. I mean, I’ll fight him, I’ll fight Colby (Covington). I think Colby is the easiest matchup in the division. I’ll piece him up on the feet, I’ll ride him out. But I would like to fight Ian Garry. He is an up-and-comer…

Sean Brady highlighted how Ian Garry is not an excellent fighter as the Irishman thinks. However, Garryโ€™s MMA records speak otherwise. As of now, the Irishman is undefeated in his professional career and holds a record of 15-0. Now, speaking of his UFC records, Garry made his debut back in 2021 and is currently on an eight-fight win streak. Moreover, the 26-year-old Irish also has significant victories over Michael Page and Neil Magny.

Interestingly, Sean Brady mentioned another fighter who he considers an easy matchup. Per Brady, Colby Covington doesnโ€™t pose a threat to him and can be easily defeated. The 31-year-oldโ€™s remarks on Covington might be due to the latterโ€™s recent form. Covington is currently in a mixed bag of form, with a defeat in his most recent fight. Interestingly, ahead of these comments at the post-fight presser, Brady also mentioned Garry in his octagon interview.

Does Sean Brady and Ian Garry have the same manager?

Sean Bradyโ€™s current form is roaring right now, with two consecutive victories over formidable opponents. His only defeat was against the current welterweight champion, Belal Muhammad. While negotiating contracts and finding good matchups, a manager plays an important role. Interestingly, it seems both Brady and Garry have the same manager.

Following his victory at UFC Vegas 97, the 31-year-old American fighter called out Ian Garry to fight next. In doing so, he also mentioned how they share the same manager, Llyod Pierson. Not only that, Brady even asked Pierson to book their fight next.

Obviously I want someone in the top 5. But if not, Me and Ian (Garry) have the same f*cking manager. Lloyd (Pierson), run that sh*t.

Brady in particular, does not seemingly like Garry. As such, the American rising star has always talked about the Irishmanโ€™s poor attitude. Since Brady has clearly stated his intentions to hand Garry his first loss, it remains to be seen how the UFC feels about this matchup.
