UFC star Daniel Zellhuber believes heโ€™s bound to cross paths with the English lightweight phenom Paddy Pimblett. Zellhuber, a Mexican star in heritage and the making wishes to meet the Souser soon enough. It is exciting for the division to have someone like Pimblett become a target. To that end, the highly ambitious fighter is not very in favor of Pimblettโ€™s win over King Green at UFC 304.

Daniel Zellhuber returns on September 14 against Argentinaโ€™s Esteban Ribovics. โ€˜Golden Boyโ€™ fights on the main card of the UFC 306 pay-per-view โ€“ aka the Riyadh Season Noche UFC. On a three-fight win streak, he is not underestimatingย the competition. However, Pimblett remains a bigger fish in his mind. As such, Zellhuber mocked the impressive UFC 304 triangle submission.

I think that performance was horrible. I saw him come out doubtful. I was him to come out with terrible striking. He did capitalize well, Iโ€™ll give him that…He capitalized on Bobby Greenโ€™s mistake โ€“ which I donโ€™t know why after 30 fights, he decides to shoot on a fighter whose only advantage over him was on the ground.

Some combatants have legendary runs. Others became legends because they were legend killers. Paddy โ€˜The Baddyโ€™ Pimblett is enjoying the spoils of his UFC 304 win over veteran King Green. UFC CEO Dana White even compares his burst in trajectory to the consensus sports icon Conor McGregor.

The win over Green put Pimblett in the rankings. Nevertheless, it was unexpected for Zellhuber to criticize Pimblett on his best win so far. It shows that Zellhuber (15-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has no problem looking past the horizon and gunning for the Liverpudlian sensation.

The switch stance fighter from Mexico does not see a more lucrative option than challenging the โ€˜Kingslayer.โ€™ Many, including 155-pound divisional kingpin Islam Makhachev, were impressed with his prime showing in July. Out to challenge him, Daniel Zellhuber, however, saw things differently.

Pimblettโ€™s (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC) six-fight winning streak at lightweight is the divisionโ€™s second-longest active behind Makhachev. Four of his six victories have come by way of stoppage. Quite a fan favorite, the superstar now finds new challenges around the UFC competition turnstile.

If you look, now that heโ€™s in the rankings, heโ€™s still challenging fighters who are good matchups for him, โ€ฆHeโ€™s challenging Renato Moicano and those type of styles that favor him. I ask myself when heโ€™s going to challenge a Fiziev or a Benoit Saint-Denis because those are the tough fightsโ€ฆI think that performance [304] was horrible, saw him come out doubtful.
Daniel Zellhuber further said to Danny Segura

Zellhuber believes that Pimblett has used his time in the UFC to pick and choose who he will fight. He is thus very critical of his win over veteran Green. However, now officially ranked, the 25-year-old Mexican thinks the nitpicking will stop. As a result, it could catalyze a future showdown between them.
