The off-season has been kind to Luka Doncic as he has had time to relax after a tedious season in which he led the Dallas Mavericks failed attempt at another NBA title. Part of his offseason activity has seen him take part in a promotional tour for the Jordan brand in China alongside fellow hoopers, Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, and Paolo Banchero.
In a now-viral video making the rounds on social media, Luka Doncic is seen having a lighthearted moment when asked by a photographer to look anywhere for a shoot. What he did next caused laughter among those present, especially from his rivals in the league. Doncic turned around completely on the photographer’s “just look around wherever you want to look” instruction. Speak about taking things literally in such moments.
It’s usually fun to see how professional basketball players or athletes in general drop rivalry aside when collaborating outside the game. However, this new show of camaraderie won’t last forever as the new season approaches and Doncic would be eager to take his pound of flesh against his last season victors, the Boston Celtics.
The Slovenian last season won the league’s scoring title as he averaged 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game for the Dallas Mavericks. He’d be eager to continue his dominant scoring record when he leads the Mavs to face the San Antonio Spurs for their season opener.

Luka Doncic was more than destined for big things when he swapped the Euro League for the NBA, where he had an impressive rookie season and he hasn’t failed to live up to the lofty expectations set. Aside from being touted as a potential successor to the legendary LeBron James at the Los Angeles Lakers, he has left a lasting impression on veterans Jeff Teague and Evan Turner.
Turner and Teague making an appearance on the Club 520 Podcast shared a story about how he and Turner had doubted the Slovenian only for them to eat their hat and marvel at his sheer dominance. The moment was during a Celtics-Mavericks game where Doncic proved his clutch genius.
I was the first person to really tell him how cold Luka was. So, like when we sitting behind the bench, like Luka kinda going through like his first half. Jeff like, ‘Bro, I don’t know G, this man kinda like lazy, like he’s just not doing enough for me, he whining.’
