It’s not like he hasn’t had relationships in the past, but he prefers to focus on playing basketball and growing his businesses. However, people want to see him with someone. So, when the chance appeared, fans and the media lapped it up and linked him with WNBA star rookie Angel Reese.
The Chicago Sky star was talking about relationships on her new podcast Unapologetically Angel. When host Maya Reese asked her specifically about the Durant rumors, she replied the whole truth about the situation. Interestingly, Durant is the favorite player of the Chicago Sky rookie.

KD has literally been my favorite player since I was literally a kid. He’s still my favorite player. I love his mom. She comes out and supports the games. So yeah, that was that. The dating rumor between Durant and Reese had an unusual beginning. Just because she sat near him during the Team USA basketball game, she was instantly rumored to possibly be dating the NBA superstar. The social media age paves the way for some unsubstantiated rumors from time to time. This is no different.
Angel Reese did say that her friend sat beside Stephen Curry. However, the internet didn’t link her with the Golden State Warriors superstar just because he was married. Interestingly, the Chicago Sky rookie did acknowledge that she gets linked to 95% of the men she meets or is seen sitting with.
Angel Reese is no longer close with former LSU teammate
Angel Reese’s podcast has captured much attention recently. Almost all topics remain vastly interesting. She was asked about her current situation with former LSU teammate Flau’Jae Johnson. She revealed their current status by issuing a positive response.
I still support Flau’jae. We aren’t as close as we used to be. And there’s no hard feelings or anything, but we aren’t as close as we used to be. That’s why people always expect us to still be posting each other and stuff like that. But, like, we aren’t as close. It happens.

At that time, many noticed the disconnect between the two. Even during the WNBA All-Star game, Flau’Jae Johnson had a great time with Reese’s WNBA rival Caitlin Clark. She spent the entire weekend alongside fellow college rival Paige Bueckers. But never once did either she or Reese talk or even meet. As Reese said, they are no longer close, suggesting the friendship is over.
