Yuneisy Duben just shocked everybody inside the UFC Apex with her ridiculous knockout at Dana White’s Contender Series 70. On Tuesday, Duben faced Shannon Clark in the first women’s fight of season eight. Coming into this bout between two undefeated prospects, Duben made sure to make a statement. 

Duben was a huge +800 underdog, but she certainly didn’t appear like one given her terrific performance. The Venezuelan fighter opened up by lighting up Clark with punches from the very beginning. Unable to determine the range, Clark kept closing in on Duben, which ultimately backfired. Duben picked her opportunity and landed an overhand right that violently turned off the lights.

With the brutal victory, Duben became the biggest Contender Series underdog ever. White was at the octagon side and couldn’t believe what he saw. His reaction was similar to when he watched Sean O’Malley getting a knockout in the DWCS. Given White’s history of promoting existing talents like this, Duben can definitely expect great things other than the UFC contract. 

Duben also thanked White through the octagon and shared a conversation. White was eager and posted the knockout on his X account and labeled it as the ‘nastiest knockout in DWCS History’. Not surprisingly many UFC fans also felt the same after the knockout went viral.
