The days are ticking by as basketball fans await the NBA regular to start again. After watching the Paris Olympics and the draft, all eyes will be on the Los Angeles Lakers. They will create history when leading superstar LeBron James takes to the court alongside his son Bronny James. But no one is as excited as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
He was asked on the last episode of The Shop about the entire situation developing with his son. James revealed what he truly feels by saying:
I’m so excited for training camp. Having your son work with you, it’s like the greatest thing. I can’t wait for this moment. I really cannot wait to hit the floor with him. It’s going to be pretty surreal for me.

It goes to show that his 22nd season might be the most exciting year for the Los Angeles Lakers superstar. As he and his son will create history together.
But before that comes training camp. Bronny James has mentioned in the past that he will be looking forward to practicing opposite his father. As he will get to witness firsthand his father’s competitive nature. Something he has only seen so far sitting courtside.

For senior James, it will be life going full circle. He would have laughed at anyone who told him before the 2003 draft that his son would play alongside him one day. Now they are a month away from realizing that dream.
LeBron James and his son Bronny will start work as the Lakers in a month
In a month, LeBron James and son Bronny James will fulfill that idea. Their official pre-season media day is set for the 30th of September. A couple of days of theoretical sessions later, their training camp will officially begin.
The Los Angeles Lakers will play six preseason games. About to be 40 years old LeBron James might not pay all six of them. But he sure will play in the ones his son Bronny James plays in. James Jr. might be down in the pecking order. But that does not mean he will not get playing time.
They take on NBA championship contenders in each of those preseason games. That makes it an ideal set of games to get Bronny James’ feet wet. For James Sr. though, he will be looking forward to a lob from his son.
