Movsar Evloev plans to beat Aljamain Sterling at UFC 307

Aljamain Sterling is ready to participate in his second featherweight bout in search of the UFC gold. Currently, the fighter is scheduled to fight undefeated prospect Movsar Evloev. Ahead of their clash at UFC 307, the rivalry between Sterling and Evloev has transformed into a serious game of allegations.

Last week, Aljamain Sterling took to social media and accused Movsar Evloev of using PEDs. Sterling mentioned that he’s habitual in fighting enhanced fighters and won’t back out. However, Aljo had no solid proof which attracted criticism from fight fans. Now in the latest interview, Sterling has further pushed the narrative claiming that he heard several rumors against Evloev.

I’ve heard through the grapevine, he’s not a clean athlete…people can say whatever…I think where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Do I have any hard evidence, like did I see the guy stick a needle up his a*s, no, did he pop for anything yet, no, maybe he never will

Sterling compared Movsar’s case to former bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw who has been found positive twice for PEDs. In the past, the ‘FunkMaster’ defended his title against Dillashaw and won the fight via TKO. Yet again Sterling has no proof to justify his claims but isn’t afraid of participating in the UFC 307 fight.

Sterling mentioned that he’s not making any excuses but just calling out the unfair practices of his opponent. The fighter stated that he never takes anything without proper checking and will never cheat in his fighting career. Nonetheless, all of these claims have undoubtedly annoyed Evloev, who intends to take care of business at UFC 307.

Movsar Evloev warns Aljamain Sterling ahead of UFC 307

Movsar Evloev is unbeaten in the promotion. In his last octagon appearance at UFC 297 earlier this year, the 30-year-old defeated Arnold Allen by unanimous decision. On the other hand, Aljamain Sterling picked up his first featherweight win against Calvin Kattar at UFC 300. Going into UFC 307, both fighters are eager to get a win.

According to the UFC anti-doping database, Movsar Evloev has been tested four times in 2024 and has never tested positive. Aljamain Sterling, on the other hand, has taken five tests, all of which have also been negative. With no reason to hide, Evloev is confident about beating Sterling in the fight and settling the score.

Where I’m from, making false accusations like that won’t go well for you. But I’ll be a businessman—I’ll punish you and get paid for it. Just don’t pull out

Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway are scheduled to fight for the featherweight title at UFC 308. With a win, both Aljo and Sterling can get an opportunity to be the title contender. It would be interesting how the fight goes after all the trash-talking that is going on between both the fighters.
