Stephen Curry has been one of the standout performers in the NBA over the past few years. As such, it was not surprising to fans when he showed that quality again at the 2024 Olympics. His top performances with Team USA on the world stage have also certainly impressed former basketball star Gilbert Arenas.
Speaking on his podcast lately, the three-time All-Star revealed that Curry is now in his Top 5 list of players. He went further to say it wasn’t an easy decision to make, as there are others who are equally highly rated as well.

There’s no doubt that Stephen Curry is an accomplished superstar in the league. However, it’s not hard to see why Arenas is having trouble over who gets to be in the final shortlist. Besides the Golden State Warriors star, there are others such as Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Anthony Edwards. All are NBA players who are highly regarded and phenomenal in their own rights.
While Gilbert Arenas is known for his controversial opinions, the selection of the Warriors guard is a no-brainer. Given that Curry rose to the occasion when he was most needed and put in stellar performances at the Paris Olympics. His efforts eventually culminated in the USA men’s basketball team winning a fifth consecutive gold medal.

Widely regarded as the greatest shooter the NBA has ever seen, Stephen Curry has made quite a reputation. He is also attributed for the popularity of three-point shooting in the league. With him leading Golden State, they became the pioneers of this three-point revolution.
Recently on “To the Baha” podcast, former NBA players Raymond Felton and Theo Pinson discussed Curry’s shooting skills. Felton talked about how Curry has made all kinds of shots, from game-winners to half-court heaves, in his career.
He is the best shooter we have ever seen… just timely shots, hit threes like he’s done it all… he’s hit every type of shot we could think about.

Meanwhile, Pinson stated that he doesn’t even expect Curry to miss a shot again in any game. Both veterans then wrapped up the discussion by declaring the 36-year-old as the greatest shooter in NBA history. It is indeed a testament to his unmatched talent in that department.
