UFC heavyweight champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones does not have the reputation of a fair fighter. As such, his legacy remains dragged and trolled for his failed PED tests. Interestingly, Jones never accepted any of such allegations. Per the heavyweight champ, he has always fought fairly in all matches. Recently, Jones took to his socials to prove his innocence again.
There is one intriguing aspect: the heavyweight champ often tested positive for the usage of steroids. Recently, Jones replied to several netizens on his X handle. During those indirect conversations on the internet, a fan mentioned his disappointment with Jon Jones’ PED usage despite liking him. The heavyweight king promptly stated his innocence, mentioning the revised rule.

During his fight against Daniel Cormier in 2017, Jones tested positive for Turinabol. Following that, the match result of Jones’ victory over Cormier turned into a no-contest. Per several reports, one of Jon Jones’s tests revealed 33 pictograms of Turinabol in his system.
Interestingly, in 2020, UFC’s senior executive Jeff Novitsky mentioned that the promotion would allow violations of under 100 picograms. So, with those revised rules, Jon Jones’ PED test might not receive the label of a failure. As such, it is possible that he remains innocent in the case of UFC 214’s failed drug test.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t the only time when he tested positive for steroid usage, which eventually tainted his reputation. Earlier, ahead of UFC 200, Jones was pulled from the card’s main event for a potential violation. Later, he was handed a one-year suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He tested for hydroxy-clomiphene and letrozole metabolite. No rule has cleared him for wrongdoing on that.
As for his fight career, Jones is currently focused on clashing against former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic. Interestingly, one individual is constantly trying to poke Jones for fighting Miocic. On the other hand, ‘Bones’ has constantly ignored him.
Jon Jones double-downs his disinterest in fighting Tom Aspinall
Tom Aspinall currently reigns as the interim UFC heavyweight champion, with an astounding record in the promotion. In his wish to pursue the UFC gold, Aspinall has taken several verbal jabs at the heavyweight king. Most recently, the Brit even forced Jones to react to the constant poking.

Jones seemed quite clear about how he feels about fighting Tom Aspinall. Interestingly, he even mentioned retiring following his fight against Miocic. As for Aspinall, he is still adamant about fighting in the title unification bout next. Now, it remains when the Brit gets his wish fulfilled.
