New NBA 2K25 Ratings Drop! | Jaren Jackson Jr. and Trey Murphy React

Some sporting athletes do end up having a run-in with the law. Most of those incidents happen after they are done dominating sports. Some rarely end up in such problems during their playing days. Then there is the even rarer history of having a history before reaching the professional leagues. NBA and Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. has one dating back even earlier and bizarrely includes the FBI.

The former Defensive Player of the Year was a guest on the podcast The Old Man and The Three. When asked to clarify if he ended up being raided by the FBI, Jackson Jr. shed light upon the same.

I didn’t get raided by the FBI. I just downloaded some stuff. They called my dad’s phone. I don’t think he gave me the full consequence because he just told me to stop. I stopped because I was like freaked out. It was the Boondocks Season 2, I had the whole series.
Jaren Jackson Jr. said

Jackson Jr. reiterated that the FBI did not raid their house. Instead, it was a warning they gave to his father over the phone. Once his father explained that they could tag the files and see what else he was doing, he might be in deeper trouble. That is why he decided to stop pirating videos or movies from the internet. The panel of the podcast could not believe that the FBI stepped in, that too because the former All-Star downloaded a television series off the internet.

People typically expect the FBI to handle more serious issues. But back then, piracy was at its height, forcing producers and law enforcement agencies to hunt illegal downloads. Jaren Jackson Jr. did say that he did that as he could not watch the series on TV at that time.

Jaren Jackson Jr.โ€™s former teammate was a psycho

In another part of the conversation on that podcast, co-host Trey Murphy asked Jaren Jackson Jr. to compare his past and present big men. The former All-Star had this to say about former Memphis Grizzlies teammate Steven Adams;

Stevoโ€™s a psycho. Stevoโ€™s crazy. He literally researches the human body to know where to put his hands to get you off balance. So, he does not have to use much strength.
Jaren Jackson said

This confirms the stories about Steven Adams that the entire NBA world has said so far. But to literally research how to use his strength in the best way is unheard of.

Steven Adams has unbelievable strength even for an NBA player. Many have sworn to face the brunt of that strength when going up against him. Be it while setting screens or even just plainly defying others to grab that rebound, his strength is legendary.

So much so that he was christened the โ€˜NBAโ€™s Aquamanโ€™. Fans are a fan of that nickname and refer to the New Zealander with that not only for his strength but also for his uncanny likeness to Aquaman star Jason Momoa.
