The Phoenix Suns superstar has even extended his impact by giving back to the community through donations and other projects. However, his recent charity contribution has prompted a hilarious reaction from Anthony Edwards.

This led to a funny response from Edwards, who stated his bank account didnโ€™t even have that amount of money.

A lot of times as an athlete, we wanna also show we’re more than a jerk. And those type of initiatives you have done… I saw you [KD] donate $10 million a few years ago, those are incredible.

No, I wasn’t a basketball guy. Yeah, I ain’t have none [collectables], only person I knew was Kevin Durant. Yeah, that was it… I didn’t watch basketball too much, but when he played, I watched. But I was a big football guy.

Despite not being an avid fan of the sport from childhood, Edwards has become one of the best shooters in the NBA. His rise to stardom in pro basketball may likely be a result of watching Durant over the years. Since being drafted first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2020, he has gone on to achieve major accolades. Most recently, he helped Team USA to a gold medal win at the Olympic Games. During the tournament, he averaged 12.8 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game and 1.2 assists per game.
