The Los Angeles Lakers did not have a great off-season in terms of free-agent signings or trades for stars. In fact, they lost one of their main bench contributors to free agency. What would seem like a downer of an offseason had some respite when they drafted Dalton Knecht and Bronny James. With father LeBron James leading them, fans are already excited about what will happen on the court.
The all-time leading scorer of the NBA, though, is excited to play alongside his son. However, some ground rules have to be in place, especially what Bronny James will call his dad while on the court. While talking on The Shop, James gave some insight on this.
(If James Jr. can call him ‘dad’) No, we already laid that down. He cannot call me dad in the workplace. He’s gotta call me 2-3, or Bron, or GOAT if he wants to, it’s up to him. Canโt be running down the court like, ‘Dad, I’m open!’.

LeBron James and Bronny James will be the first father and son to play on a basketball court at the same time. The father will definitely teach his son how it is to play elite basketball as the season progresses. But what James Jr. will call his father is definitely a question mark.
