Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is coming off one of the best seasons of his career so far. Last season, fans witnessed Edwards’ rise to full-blown superstardom. Edwards is also known for his fun-loving off-court personality. Recently, his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns shared one of the most hilarious stories involving Edwards and Timberwolves coach Chris Finch.
In the recent episode of Paul George‘s Podcast P, Karl-Anthony Towns appeared as the special guest. On the show, KAT talked about Anthony Edwards and the bond he shares with him. Later on, he recounted an incident in which Coach Finch got injured during the playoffs.
In the first round of playoffs, the Timberwolves went against the Phoenix Suns. During Game 4, Timberwolves star Mike Conley bumped into coach Finch, which caused the HC a severe knee injury. Edwards, on the other, had very hilarious reaction which Towns shared on the podcast.
I remember when [Chris] Finch got hurt, Ant said, ‘If this is what getting old look like, I don’t wanna get old.’ I was like, Ant, ‘He got his knee ran into.’ He’s like, ‘I don’t care, I don’t want to be like that.’

The playoff series between the Timberwolves and Suns showcased what Anthony Edwards is truly capable of. He carried the team on his back throughout the season, proving he can be the Timberwolves’ top star. Edwards and the Timberwolves swept the Suns, a team featuring stars like Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.
The Timberwolves had one of the most successful seasons in franchise history, winning 56 games. The last time the Timberwolves had a 50-win season was in 2004, when Kevin Garnett led them to the Conference Finals.
Edwards will be entering the next season with championship aspirations
Anthony Edwards won the gold medal as a part of the stacked Team USA at the Paris Olympics. Edwards played alongside veteran stars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry, who certainly taught him many valuable lessons that will be useful in his career going forward.
He will be entering the next season with some serious momentum on his side. Last season ANT proved that the sky is the limit for his on-court talent. He averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game with the Timberwolves last season. His numbers are expected to go up next season and Edwards can even find himself in the MVP conversation. He is certainly on the road to become the face of the league, according to many analysts.
The Timberwolves are one of the strongest teams in the stacked Western Conference. With Edwards leading the squad and a great supporting cast around, the Wolves can count on themselves to be considered championship contenders for the next season.
