Aljamain Sterling is about to step into his second featherweight showdown in the UFC. ‘Funk Master’ is already making noise as he recently accused opponent Movsar Evloev of using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). This is just weeks ahead of their UFC 307 fight scheduled for later this year. Here is what happened:
Aljamain Sterling recently sent out a video on his YouTube channel. The former UFC champion discussed his upcoming fight at UFC 307 on ‘The Weekly Scraps’ podcast. This was when he boldly claimed that he would have to fight Movsar Evloev who was definitely “on something.” He even shared the clip where he accuses Evloev of using steroids on his X account.

He even referenced Nate Diaz‘s viral statement, where he accused the majority of the fighters in the UFC of being on steroids. This was back in 2016 at a press conference before his fight with Conor McGregor at UFC 196. Diaz bluntly stated, “Everybody is on steroids. The whole UFC.”
Sterling suggested that he would be fine with daily drug testing but said that his opponent would never be okay with it. Evloev has never failed a drug test. He dismissed the accusations and responded that Sterling was merely scared.

Movsar Evloev quickly responded to Aljamain Sterling’s steroid allegations on X. The Russian added a mix of sarcasm and confidence in his response. He retweeted Sterling’s post on X. In the quote section, Evloev sent his patronizing response to the former champion.

Evloev dismissed the allegations, suggesting that Sterling was simply scared to face him. He promised to make it quick and wrote that Sterling would not feel a thing. However, ‘Funk Master’ had a response of his own.

The exchange has added more heat to their upcoming fight at UFC 307. This has definitely built up anticipation among fans. While it is uncertain whether Sterling’s claims are based in reality, Evloev’s reaction indicates that he is not fazed by Sterling’s comments and remains focused on their fight.
