During a recent interview with Submission Radio, Mike Angove discussed the positive outcomes for Adesanya at UFC 305. In doing so, he also revealed the former middleweight championโ€™s route back to UFC gold. Per Angove, Izzy has a lot of difficult tests ahead of him.

We have two fighters that we need to beat. We need to beat Sean Strickland and we need to beat Dricus Du Plessis… Robert Whittaker is also having a resurgence. Although I don t think a third fight between the two is attractive to the UFC. You know, so we ve got a lot of business to do.
