Talk about Russell Croweโฆthe whole world turns its gaze to the glitz of Hollywood. With performances like โGladiatorโ, โA Beautiful Mindโ, and โThe Exorcismโ, the actor has firmed himself in the cinematic universe. But even industry giants and fan favorites like Russell Crowe can have those little black chapters. Enter veteran podcaster, Joe Rogan โ who just does not give a hoot!
After spending the past few weeks immersed in politically charged scenarios and topics, Rogan and his โJoe Rogan Experienceโ went the light route. His @PowerfulJRE/JRE MMAย Show, which recently inked a new multiyearย deal with Spotify reportedly worth around $250 million, hosts many Hollywood celebs. Joe Rogan recently had Adam Sandler on, where they discussed the Will SmithโChris Rock moment. With popular Reddit page r/JoeRogan hinting Russell Crowe would be on, it was a welcome notion. But the 56-year-old podcaster had to make it weird fanboying over meeting Crowe.
I always feel like, โThis is going to go away.โ And then Iโm like, โNope, Russell Crowe, oh wow!โ …I met Dennis Quaid the other day, same thing. Itโs like, โOh itโs Dennis Quaid.โ Just seems so strange.

The podcast host and comedian often comes under fire for preferential bias or a bit of conservative viewpoints. But mentioning Dennis Quaid was an awkward low blow. For the uninitiated, the scandal of the early 2000s was that actor (and now country singer) Quaid was married to superstar Meg Ryan. The couple married in 1991 and had their first and only child, Jack Quaid, in 1992. Enter Crowe into the foray, who acted in the 2000โs โProof of Lifeโ alongside her.
The New Zealander and Ryan had struck up a musing. The actress later mentioned while he was there for it, Crowe was not the reason for her divorce. Nevertheless, the Hollywood affair was one for ages. Whether or not Rogan didnโt do his research or tried instigating a topic is up for debate. However, the matter as such has gone quite viral.
Fans react to Joe Roganโs newest podcast blunder
โJoe Rogan Experience #2191- Russell Croweโ hosted the famed actor recently. It was a good change of pace that rejuvenated interest in Joe Roganโs podcast. A few weeks ago, Rogan faced controversy for praising independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr, thus angering some Republican Party representatives, including GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. Thatโs not even counting the numerous more recent squabbles he had after his clinical misinformation fiasco.
Hollywood star Crowe on a 3-hour-long studio talk was to be pure bliss. He reiterated his journey and struggles so far, checking off his bucket lists, his unanticipated journey as a DJ, his son, Kamala Harris, and so on. But Joe Rogan had to go ahead and make it a tinge bit weird mentioning Quaid.
A prominent reaction noted โ โThatโs the upside of doing no research. He can unwittingly mention sensitive topics to guests, and they just have to deal with it.โ Hereโs how netizens have reacted to it so far:
Contrarily, the consensus thought is that Rogan knew and pushed for the topic. Well, maybe Rogan was bringing up Quaid on purpose because of his history with Crowe. However, the switch in topic and the air of awkwardness was brutal.
