Daniel Cormier recently sat down for a conversation with Mike Bohn. During the discussion, Bohn asked the former UFC champion his thoughts on the incident at the press conference. Cormier replied saying that the South African champion has an edge over Israel Adesanya.
I think Dricus, he frustrates you. He might frustrate these guys so much that they have these emotional responses to him and it’s cr*zy… If you’re Team Dricus, I’m pretty they’re all celebrating. You’ve come face-to-face with this man three, four times and in two of those instances he’s had real emotional responses.

The tension between the two fighters has been brewing for over a year. During the presser, Adesanya tearfully expressed his deep connection to his family and heritage. The Last Stylebender vowed to fight for his loved ones. He also emphasized that showing emotion does not make him weak, saying he could cry and beat Du Plessis at the same time.

Du Plessis has labeled Adesanya as a bully who could not handle the pressure when confronted. He denied any deliberate attempts to make Adesanya emotional. However, he noted that pushing back against bullies often reveals their true character. Du Plessis even mocked Adesanya later on social media for crying during the press conference.
