IMPRESSIVE!!! What Really Happened (Marcin Tybura vs Sergey Spivak 2)

Fight fans always expect the UFC to deliver the best MMA action each week. Although the promotion has tried to put on the best card, they occasionally falter. That was the situation for this weekโ€™s UFC Vegas 95. However, the main event between Sergey Spivak and Marcin Tybura did turn out to be the saving grace.

The eighth-ranked fighter and the ninth-ranked fighter faced off in the heavyweight division. Marcin Tybura and Sergey Spivak fought each other for the second time since their bout in 2020, and the result was different. Betting favorite Spivak managed to take his revenge and land a victory against his opponent.ย

At UFC Vegas 95, it didnโ€™t take Spivak much time to finish the fight as he submitted Tybura in the very first round. Tybura was visibly bigger than the โ€˜Polar Bearโ€™ and was expected to dominate on the ground. However, as soon as the fight went to the ground, Spivak managed to get a nasty armbar finish.ย He transitioned from full guard and impressively went for the submission after trapping Tyburaโ€™s hand.

It was an unfortunate night for Tybura, who wanted to retain his winning momentum. This was the first time the Polish fighter had ever been submitted in his professional MMA career. While 7/10 fights ended via decision, fans were excited to see the main event ending with a submission.

However, the same cannot be said about the rest of the fight card.ย
