UFC CEO Dana White believes ex-POTUS Donald Trump is one of toughest guys heโs ever met. This is why he thinks that the GOP presidential nominee is the perfect fit to run the country. Dana White and his longstanding friendship with Trump transcends any favorable relationship. Now, the 55-year-old gives his thoughts on the possible next president surviving the assassination attempt.
Trump recently survived a failed assassination attempt. He was addressing a signature Republican campaign rally nearย Butler, Pennsylvania when shots rang out.ย Whiteย learned about the matterย from UFC matchmakerย Mick Maynardย on a flight to Italy and had quite the reaction to it. The Manchester, Connecticut native recently spoke on Fox News with Sean Hannity on Friday night.
When they shot at him, his reaction to been shot was one of the most amazing things I had ever seen…Contrary to what the narrative is and what everybody would like you to believe, heโs one of the best guys you will ever meet. America needs a strong leader and the world needs a strong America, and heโs the guy…You donโt find out who the real tough guys are, until tough guy stuff happens.

Dana White, who often touts his slap-fighting promotion with grandeur, was out promoting Behind The Slap, available on Fox Nation. However, the UFC head, who introduced the ex-POTUS before the curtain call at the RNC Convention in Milwaukee, veered largely to the topic of Trump. Subsequently, along with other GOP notables, White has also donated to a GoFundMe โauthorizedโ by Trump for Butler, PA, victims.
White also recountedย Donald Trump being unfazed by the fallout. He also lauded Trumpโs nerve of steel and continued to sing praises for him everywhere. Steeled or blatant lack of empathy? The jury is still not out on that. Accordingly, White thinks the 78-year-old is still the perfect nominee to lead the country.
Despite rallying Donald Trump, Dana White persistent to remain โapoliticalโ
Dana White maintains that his friendship with Donald Trump is non-transactional and outside the scope of politics. He has always been an avid Trump supporter and was even on his COVID-phase Republican task force. Donald Trump and his concord with the UFC roster has been hard to miss. While facing multiple indictments, the rhetoric of passing himself as a fighter in a fighting world really boosted his support.
White often catches flak for allegedly introducing the UFC fanbase, often consisting of young people, to right-wing conservative movements. However, the promotional taskmaster does not heed such claims. As a matter of fact, he has often noted his and UFCโs collective apathy toward politics. Even as recently as May, in a sitdown on the โIn Search of Excellenceโ Podcast Episode 112, he mentioned his apolitical beliefs. He was even very reluctant in his previous RNC speeches.
Hence, during the 2024 Republican National Convention, he pushed that his alliance with Trump was not for some political vantage or favor between the two. He yet again mentioned that he is no oneโs puppet when it comes to this friendship.
Dana White instigates that he was never pushed for such a role to speak on his behalf. But, even as an โapoliticalโ beast, heโd rather do it out of respect. Consequently, he also views Trump as the best bet for handling the State of the Union. Whether that comes to pass or not, this alliance remains one for ages.
