Josh Hart found Robert Griffin III eating a croissant in Paris with his wife amusing. Yet the question is, if eating a croissant in the country that made the baked delicacy famous isnโt that out of the ordinary, then why did the New York Knicks player find it funny?
Itโs a simple answer. RG3 wasnโt eating the run-of-the-mill croissant, which anyone can go to their nearest Cosco and chow down. It was actually large enough to be the size of a newborn baby, and apparently, it weighs around 1.5 kg per the Guardian.
In the photo, the former Washington Commanders quarterback posed with one end of the croissant near his mouth and the other close to his wifeโs. This was a sight to behold, and Josh Hart retweeted the photo with a hilarious caption.
This might be the craziest tweet I ever seen. Idk if Jesus himself could make me post this.

Well, at the very least, there werenโt any croissants back in the first century CE. Regardless, RG3โs image went viral like wildfire. More than 20 million people saw the photo, and according to Griffin, close to 2.5 thousand bookmarked it for future viewing pleasure. Thereโs no confirmation if Hart is one of them or not.

Robert Griffin III addressed his viral croissant photo
Posting a giant croissant โthe size of 5 grizzliesโ wasnโt enough for RG3, and he then shared a video explaining the reason behind uploading a picture like that. He explained the name of the patisserie where he bought the croissant and askedโcanโtโ a man eat a croissant in peace in Paris with his wife?
This picture is going viral right now. Itโs a giant croissant from Philippe Conticini [famous pastry chef] in Paris. My wife said, โYou know what? let’s try it out. It seems like itโs gonna be delicious.โ So we took this picture. Thinking nothing of it. We were just having a great time in Paris, and when in Paris, you must croissant. Or as we captioned it, โItโs always croissant oโclock in Paris.
Robert Griffin III ranted
Eating a Croissant the size of 5 Glizzies combined with your Wife in Paris ainโt no problem. Let me explain #CroissantGate pic.twitter.com/dT2RTxUkpk

Then he made a futile attempt to blame the internet for making the picture viral.
Then the internet got hold of it, and boy o boy did they go to work. I guess a man canโt enjoy a croissant in Paris with his wife and post it on the internet anymore. I will spare you the memes. You can go find them for yourselves. But just know that this croissant was absolutely delicious. Our matching pants made it even better.
Robert Griffin III added
With the USA Basketball menโs Gold Medal match against France around the corner, it seems RG3 would be inside the stadium cheering on LeBron James, Steph Curry, and the others.
