USA Men’s basketball dominates Brazil, advances to Olympics semifinals
The USA men’s basketball team took control from the start and never looked back. At no point did they struggle against the South American team. Devin Booker led the team with 18 points, while six players scored in double figures. Joel Embiid responded to booing from the French crowd with 14 first-half points, and Kevin Durant became USA Basketball’s all-time leading Olympic scorer.
Durant surpassed Lisa Leslie’s record of 488 points with a dunk in the third quarter, finishing with 11 points. Soon, Leslie took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise his record-breaking moment. LeBron James also had an excellent game, while Stephen Curry couldn’t make a big impact.
