NBA legend Charles Barkley has reaffirmed his commitment to TNT Sports. He signed a long-term agreement to see him exclusively contribute to the network for many years. This extends his 25-year tenure with the company, which began in 2000.
Barkley, a multiple-time Emmy Award winner, has been a critical component of TNT Sports’ success. Many appreciate his coverage on the acclaimed show Inside the NBA. He has worked alongside Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal and remains recognized for his outstanding work as a studio analyst. As such, Barkley cannot fathom working anywhere else other than TNT.

In addition to his work with TNT Sports, Charles Barkley has been part of the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament broadcast teams for Turner Sports and CBS since 2011. The humor combined with analytical expertise has made Barkley among the most popular broadcaster in the US.
Chuck’s broadcasting career has been marked by numerous accolades, including induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice – once for his individual accomplishments and again as part of the 1992 Olympic “Dream Team.” Prior to his broadcasting career, he played 16 seasons in the NBA with three different teams, earning 11 All-Star selections and winning the 1992-93 MVP award.
Charles Barkley weighs in on Warner Brothers Discovery’s lawsuit against the NBA
Charles Barkley shared his thoughts on the lawsuit filed by TNT’s parent company, Warner Brothers Discovery, against the NBA. Barkley believes that neither the NBA nor its commissioner worry about the impending lawsuit.
I don’t think Adam [Silver] would leave himself open to lose a lawsuit. He was a lawyer. I think he’s too smart so … we have filed a lawsuit, but I think the NBA is like, ‘Yeah, it’s too late, we don’t care.’

Barkley thinks the lawsuit is unnecessary and that the NBA is unlikely to lose. He also believes that the NBA is not interested in continuing its partnership with TNT if it requires a lawsuit to do so. As such, the NBA legend can see nothing to come out of the lawsuit.
Barkley also discussed the possibility of replicating the success of Inside the NBA on another network, expressing skepticism. He believes that other networks don’t give shows enough time to develop chemistry, instead constantly trying new combinations of personalities.
