Katie Ledecky has now revealed the truth about that moment when she first saw the basketball great as a little girl. She shed light on the same while speaking on the trending video during an interview at the Paris Olympics.

My uncle John was one of the owners of the Washington Capitals at the time. We were at a Wizards game in the owner’s box. Michael Jordan was there. He was part of the Wizards organization, I think back then, and I was eating my popcorn and Michael Jordan started playing peekaboo with me.
Katie Ledecky said

According to Ledecky, she was unfazed by the experience, even though a lot of kids her age at that time would have screamed in excitement for just seeing the basketball great.

And I was totally unfazed, just kept eating my popcorn and then, he started covering my mouth to try to prevent me from getting the popcorn in my mouth. I think Zack [Leonsis] at one point at one point, he says ‘Do you know who that is?’ And I say Michael Jordan! So I was definitely aware of how great he was, who he was, but totally unfazed by it.
Katie Ledecky recalled with a smile on her face

Ledecky also asserted that she thinks Jordan passed on some of his greatness to her, from that tender age. The video has garnered tons of reactions from fans since it surfaced online, with many people of the opinion that Ledecky meeting Jordan so early in her life rubbed off on her positively. Indeed, it is a sentiment the 27-year-old swimmer equally shares herself.
