The Paris Olympics 2024 managed to become one of the most controversial ones in history. The organizers allegedly tried to replicate the iconic ‘Last Supper’ painting with a team of drag queens. However, this didn’t sit well with millions of fans worldwide. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan was one of them who blasted the Olympic committee for the same.

The Olympics have always been the place for top athletes all around the world to come and showcase their talents. All the countries that have hosted it have made sure to make it as grandeur as possible. The French wanted to do the same, but it didn’t work at all. Joe Rogan recently ranted about the monetary benefits of the Olympics and blasted the ones in charge.

The money they make is astronomical. The Olympics makes billions in television revenue and advertising revenue and they don’t give any of it to the athletes. These are the crazy people putting on the Last Supper with transexuals.

Following the outrage by millions all around the world, the Olympic committee has apologized for the ceremony. According to the organizers, it wasn’t the ‘Last Supper’ but the interpretation of the Greek God Dionysus. However, Rogan didn’t buy it, calling it nonsensical.

UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev went on social media to boycott the Paris Olympics. According to the Dagestani, it was an act of disrespect for all religions. Recently, rising middleweight Shara Magomedov mentioned the same and criticized the Olympics for mocking others. It seems like Rogan has previously made negative comments about the Olympics.

Joe Rogan believes the Olympics is a huge scam

Joe Rogan believes the Olympics is a big scam and uses athletes to make a lot of money with negligible financial returns. The Olympics provide prestige but little monetary return. Athletes frequently rely on endorsements, sponsorships, and other competitions for revenue. Medal monetary incentives vary greatly by country and are typically insufficient for long-term assistance.

This financial issue is particularly difficult for competitors in less popular sports, underlining the limited direct financial benefits of participation in the Olympics. According to Joe Rogan, it’s a huge source of revenue for companies in disguise of a great sporting spectacle.

I think the Olympics are gross. I think it’s a great opportunity for all those athletes. I think it’s great for people to watch it, but I think it is a f**king disgusting money grab. All those amateur air quotes athletes don’t get paid sh*t, and these companies are making billions and billions of dollars off of them. I really wish they would all quit.
