Nikola Jokic SNUBBED for Joel Embiid as ‘Best Center in NBA’ by Gilbert Arenas

The current NBA has the most versatile centers of all time. They possess all the skills from great shooting, defending the rim and playmaking they have it all. Currently, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid are the top two centers in the league.

Recently former NBA star Gilbert Arenas appeared in an interview with “Vlad TV.” In the interview, Arenas was asked about naming the best player in the current NBA for every position. For the point guard position, Arenas was dicey about Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry but went on to pick Curry. For the shooting guard position, Gilbert Arenas had confusion between Anthony Edwards and Devin Booker, and eventually picked the latter. He went on to pick Kevin Durant at the 3 and LeBron James at the 4.

But the choice that shocked many was when Arenas picked Joel Embiid over Nikola Jokic as the center. It was a bold choice as for many NBA fans and experts Jokic is the best center in the league. He even stated that Embiid is more dominant than Jokic in the scoring part and could easily beat him in 1v1 situation.

The better player of the two in that position is Embiid, he’s more dominant as a when they are matching up, play against each other like one is more dominant.

His selections highlight the superstar’s great skills and the impact on the league and their team. While some picks were obvious, some made the NBA fans think a lot. Even though Embiid has a offensive presence in the game, Jokic is arguably a more complete player than Embiid.

Kendrick Perkins disappointed with Joel Embiid’s poor performance Serbia

Team USA had their first opening game of the mainstage of the Olympics against Serbia. At first USA started slow with Serbia being in the lead with 10-2. But then they managed to squash the lead which eventually resulted in Team USA getting the win with a 26 point lead.

While Team USA played well, Joel Embiid didn’t deliver to the expectation he had and had a underwhelming game. In the first half, Embiid collected just 2 points, 1 rebound, and had 2 turnovers. This put him in the crosshairs of the critics. Former NBA star Kendrick Perkins even tweeted about Embiid and stated that he needs to be benched because of his bad performance.

After just four minutes of play, he was replaced by Anthony Davis. Davis played great after entering the game and was great on both ends of court. Fans have started to question Embiid and many have stated that Davis should start Embiid. With their next game against South Sudan Embiid will aiming to prove the critics wrong.
