‘Reckless’ Conor McGregor gets two-year driving ban after dangerous incident

When Conor McGregor does finally return, he’s at the mercy of his management and the UFC to drive him up to the UFC Host Hotel. Because, as of now, ‘Notorious’ will not be driving notoriously for a while! The UFC star was speeding in Blackchurch, Ireland, in October 2017 when his vehicle was clocked at over 100 mph. Then came another and another until he suffered a 6-month ban.

Nevertheless, it never kept ‘Mystic Mac’ from enjoying the chops of his ride collection. McGregor, 36, of The Paddocks, Straffan, Co. Kildare, came under fire for a N4/M50 interchange incident. This was at Palmerstown, west Dublin, on March 22, 2022. The hearing was postponed many times along the stem of 2023. The gardai put a stop to his overspeeding Bentley Continental GT before anything got road rash ‘Notorious.’ Despite their love for him, nobody wishes for another Jon Jones!

At Blanchardstown District Court on Wednesday, Judge David McHugh imposed a two-year driving disqualification. The terms also hit Conor McGregor with a five-month suspended sentence and a €5,000 fine. He also incurred a 1,000 euro fine for one count of careless driving on the M50. Consequently, with him already having faced a six-month ban, McGregor and team made counter-proposals to the gardai before entering a plea; in vain. The blows just keep coming in for the Irishman. The sports icon didn’t make it on the ESPN SportsCentury project‘s ‘Top 100’ list. McGregor also missed out on Forbes’s list of the highest-paid athletes this year. Before he fought Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, Rolls-Royce reportedly contacted McGregor to sponsor a ride. Complete with a graphics ‘Notorious’ imagery decal and a custom job, that is how he acquired the ROLLS-ROYCE GHOST, £237,600. A Lambo is good, but it’s been iconic since 2016. But what about dropping Jose Aldo with a shock statement? Clearly, that deserved another.

Hence came a ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM DROPHEAD COUPE, £305,000. He is also believed to have a Wraith, a Rolls-Royce Dawn (£285k), and a Rolls Royce Phantom VIII (£340k). An iconic CADILLAC ESCALADE, £75,000, also made it to his collection. The SBG Ireland top crop is famous for his green Lambo Aventador Roadster, £276,515. That, and his Bentley Continental GT which he just can’t help slow down in.
