Sean O'Malley calls out 'thick and short' Conor McGregor to fight after catching uncalled strays from inspiration

Previously, Sean Oโ€™Malley used to speak highly of Conor McGregor. As a matter of fact, the bantamweight champion is still a fan of McGregor. However, the dynamics have certainly changed. As such, recently, Oโ€™Malley went on to make some bold claims regarding the โ€˜Notorious.โ€™

Sean Oโ€™Malley recently sat down with his head coach, Tim Welch, on his YouTube channel to review the recently held UFC 304. During the conversation, โ€˜Sugaโ€™ discussed his ongoing dispute with Conor McGregor. โ€˜Sugaโ€™ said he thinks he can beat McGregor in a potential fight. Oโ€™Malley was confident about dominating the Irishman due to his height and speed advantage.ย

I will chirp Conor because I do believe I can beat Conor in a fightโ€ฆ I think stylistically I could beat Conor in a fightโ€ฆConorโ€™s 5โ€™7โ€โ€ฆ heโ€™s thick but heโ€™s shortโ€ฆ talk sh*t, letโ€™s do it.

The altercation started when Oโ€™Malley caught strays from Conor McGregor during his social media rant on boxing superstar Ryan Garcia. McGregor mentioned that he didnโ€™t mean to mock Oโ€™Malley, but it was too late. Recently, McGregor again ruffled the feather of the bantamweight champion, who, this time, didnโ€™t sit silently. In retaliation, Oโ€™Malley called McGregor a drug addict and accused him of being mentally weak.ย

McGregor is currently looking for his return fight by the end of 2024. The Irishman has a number of opponents lined up to fight him. After the latest beef, it shouldnโ€™t be hard to throw Oโ€™Malley in the mix of potential opponents for McGregor. However, before that, the champ has to take care of the business ahead of him.

It will be the third time Oโ€™Malley will main-event a pay-per-view card in his professional career. Last time at UFC 299, Oโ€™Malley put on a striking masterclass, defeating challenger Marlon Vera via unanimous decision. โ€˜Sugaโ€™ looks forward to doing the same at Noche UFC and is hyped about making history.ย ย

Everyone on the UFC wants on the Sphere because it is going to happen one time and one time only. I got a call from the production team the other day and they said this sh*t is going to be a movie.

Both Oโ€™Malley and Dvalishvili, in their typical fashion, had a skit-off to celebrate the official announcement of the main event. Dvalishvili is currently on a ten-fight win streak and is pumped to become the second-ever Georgian UFC champion. Given the stylistic difference between him and Oโ€™Malley, fans are intrigued about how the fight could go at the Sphere.
