Paddy โThe Baddyโ Pimblett probably put out the best performance at UFC 304 in Manchester. After months of trash-talking, the Liverpudlian took out Bobby โKingโ Green and secured a first-round submission victory. However, Pimblett believes he has one-uped Islam Makhachev, who also took out Bobby Green back in 2022.
The fight between Paddy Pimblett and โKingโ did not last long. At the post-fight press conference, Paddy Pimblett let out a funny little stat about beating Bobby Green a second earlier than reigning UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
I saw a funny little stat there as well, my coach has just said that I finished him a second faster than Islam Makhachev.

Paddy Pimblett defeated Bobby Green with a first-round technical submission via triangle choke at UFC 304. The fight lasted three minutes, and Green even attempted a double-leg takedown on Pimblett. The Liverpudlian had previously challenged โKingโ to grapple with him. Pimblett countered with a guillotine choke and transitioned to a triangle choke, taking Green out at 3:22 of the first round.
Islam Makhachev fought Green back in 2022. They headlined the catchweight main event at UFC Fight Night 202 and the Dagestani absolutely dominated Green leading the referee to step in at 3:23 of the first round. Nobody had submitted Green in the past fifteen years, so Pimblett wanted it to be a statement to all his haters and doubters.
Paddy Pimblettโs message to doubters after UFC 304 victory
Paddy Pimblett addressed his critics head-on at the post-fight press conference and his octagon interview with Daniel Cormier. The Liverpudlian expressed his satisfaction after shutting people up for doubting him coming up to the fight against Green.
Paddy Pimblett boasts a professional MMA record of 22 wins and 3 losses. He has not lost a fight since his debut in the UFC. Now with six consecutive wins under his belt, Pimblett can expect a position at the top rankings of the UFCโs lightweight division.
Ah itโs great โ you canโt beat shutting people up, brilliant; like I love shutting people upโฆ The amount of people that Iโve seen say โHeโs never going to be ranked, heโs not good enough to be ranked, heโll never be in the Top 15โ. Even fighters on YouTube, then I go out there and put on a flawless performance, absolutely school them!

Now, Pimblett will get to play in the leagues of Renato Moicano, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, and Charles Oliveira. It will be interesting to see what Pimblett does with his newfound position in the division.
